Atari 2600 Boing! Game Cartridge
(First Star Software - 1983)
Boing! Was the first and only game released for the Atari 2600 by First Star Software. The concept of the game is very similar to the Q*Bert! arcade game. The play-field is square instead of triangular and you only have two monsters and objects falling from the sky to contend with.
You are a blue bubble that must jump on each square to light them up, but unlike Q*Bert!, you cannot accidentally jump off the edge and the squares do not change back if an enemy jumps on them. Each level gets increasingly more difficult until it is almost impossible for you to avoid the enemy.
For playability this title is fares well and the graphics are pretty cool for an Atari 2600 game. I would rate the gameplay for this one at 7-10 and the controls a 7-10. So my overall rating of 7-10 means that this game is a fun diversion for you, especially with when playing with friends.
