Atari 2600 Joust Game Cartridge
(Atari - 1983)
This was a fairly decent version of the original Joust arcade game. It was another unique game that wasn't just your standard arcade shoot-em-up, which made it a fun diversion when you just wanted to kick back and do some old fashioned ostrich jousting. ***crickets chirping***
I had no problem dropping a few quarters into this fun game from time to time... and the Atari 2600 port of the game captured a lot of that fun. You will have a blast jousting opposing knights and turning them into eggs to collect before they hatch again, and watch out for that nasty dragon!
For playability this title fares pretty well against the original. I would rate the gameplay for this one at 8-10 and the controls a 7-10. So my overall rating of 7-10 means that this game is a fun adventure, especially with when competing with friends.

Joust is Atari's port of Williams/Midway arcade smash where you are a knight riding on a Ostrich jousting with other knights...As strange as this sounds it is a very fun and challenging game.Players tap there button to flap about on the screen fly into there rival knights to "dismount" them in your efforts to clear a screen and move to the next level but it is not so easy with knights respwaning from eggs, lava below you and of all thing a Pterodactyl out to stop you...See i told you this was a strange sounding game but so much fun to play.
