Atari 2600 Miner 2049er Game Cartridge
(Tigervision - 1982)
You control "Bounty Bob" as he prospects in a radioactive mine. The object of this game is to "claim" each station in the mine while avoiding the deadly mutant organisms that infest the mine tunnels by running away or jumping over them. For bonus points be sure to collect the artifacts left behind by previous miners.
There are different aspects of each level such as slides, transporters and even a cannon. The levels are well thought out and are fun to navigate, it is easy to see why Tigervision's Miner 2049er gained acclaim in the video gaming magazines of the era.
For playability this title is top notch and full of excitement. I would rate the gameplay for this one at 8-10 and the controls a 9-10. So my overall rating of 8-10 means that this game is a fun "must play" title for the Atari 2600 system.

I did not know of or discover Miner 2049er until more recent years with my return to the Atari 2600 and i was instantly hook once i played my first game of it. While the 2600 version to pale to its computer/5200 big brothers but its still remains a favorite of my on the old 2600 with its outstanding box/cart art to its challenging game play.Am personally looking forward to playing Vol.II of this game which if like the first one will prove to be tough but enjoyable game for me.
