Atari 2600 Quest for Quintana Roo Game Cartridge
(Telegames - 1982)
In this game, you play Yucatan Sam, and must explore the temples of Quintana Roo, searching for the keys to open the ceremonial vault and acquire the riches hidden inside. But be careful, there are also snakes and mummies in the temples. You must shoot the approaching mummies or throw acid on the slithering snakes to survive each level.
This is an adventure style game and I found the controls kind of complex... you must use the game selector to toggle between your weapons and items in your inventory. Your character is color coded depending on which item you are holding. And you must be either white or yellow to use the fire button to use the doors.
F If the graphics were better, I would find the game much more playable than I did. I would rate the gameplay for this one at 6-10 and the controls a 4-10. So my overall rating of 5-10 means that this game is a fun adventure but cumbersome to play... it is definitely not a twitch game.
