Atari 2600 Limited Edition Racer Game Cartridge

(Roklan - 1982/2009)

Atari 2600 Racer game cartridge.
In 1982 Roklan developed this original game, Racer, for Atari, but Atari never relapsed it. Fast forward to 2009 where an Atari fan used the prototype ROMs to produce a limited number of boxed reproduction cartridges for collectors. Only 60 boxed and numbered cartridges as well as 15 loose cartridges were produced, making this game very rare indeed.
This game is a true retro experience and is especially fun in two player mode. I like the fact that this is an original game that is not based off of any arcade game, it sort of adds to the uniqueness and gameplay.
For playability this title fares surprisingly well with it's vintage feel. I would rate the gameplay for this one at 6-10 and the controls a 7-10. So my overall rating of 6-10 means that this game is a fun and exciting play, especially with when competing against a friend.

Let's go to the Hop and cut a rug to some boppin' tunes! What's better than a tasty burger and a shake with your steady? That's right, a RACE! Look at those cool cats on that box, shaking their fists at the SPEED DEMONS that are racing their way into your high-powered home video game console with Roklan's Racer for the Atari VCS! You'll laugh, you'll let your hair down, and most of all you'll show those street hooligans who's the KING OF THE ROAD!
