This is a battery replacement AC power adapter for most hand held electronic games in the 1980's. It could be used t replace C batteries or 9 volt batteries. This battery eliminator was a godsend for people who were burning through batteries playing their games.

This variation on the packaging for the Perma Power featured a photo of the Donkey Kong Jr system that was never produced, and the battery shaped replacements are brown instead of black.
