Commodore 64 Popeye Game Cartridge

(Parker Brothers - 1984)

Commodore 64 Popeye Cartridge
Popeye for the commodore 64 was a fun game that had cartoon fans smiling as they worked their way through the levels. Featuring characters from the Popeye cartoon such as Olive Oyl and Brutus. You must win the love of Olive Oyl by catching her falling hearts. But watch out, Brutus is trying to get you! But all is not lost, if you eat a can of spinach, you can knock him out.
There are three different level with different obstacles and varying degrees of difficulty. But in the end, you must persevere to win the heart of the woman you love.
I have a soft spot for this fun little game since I am an avid cartoon fan, and it doesn't hurt that this version is very faithful to the original Popeye arcade game. Riding on the fun factor, I would rank this one a 7-10 and the controls at 8-10. So overall this Commodore 64 version of Popeye rates a respectable 7-10.
