Commodore 64 Radar Rat Race Game Cartridge
(Commodore Electronics - 1982)
Radar Rat race was the very first game I had played on my Commodore 64. It was exciting to see how fast it responded and that I could use a joystick to maneuver the rat through the maze to get my cheese while avoiding the other rats. You had a humorous defense, a smoke screen that came out behind you, so it looked as though your rat was passing gas.
The neat thing about Radar Rat Race was that you had a radar screen that showed the locations of the cheese in the maze in relation to you. Now, even though the graphics on this one were pretty archaic, the game was smooth and a heck of a lot of fun especially playing in a group.
You can easily get lost in the fun, competing for the best score amongst your friends and family. This simple game rates a whopping 8-10 for both gameplay and controls.
