Commodore 64 Vinyl Keyboard Dust Cover

(Commodore International)

Commodore 64 Vinyl Keyboard Dust Cover
This original vinyl dust cover is a great accessory to keep your keyboard clean and duct free when it is not in use. They were made of brown vinyl and looked like very much like a product of the 1980's... kinda tacky.
There were three types of covers, the vinyl one like this, a fabric one and a smoked plastic one. This one was packaged with my Commodore 64 and had the Commodore logo printed on it... I am not sure if they were available separately.
The commodore keyboard did not have a waterproof membrane over the contacts like modern keyboards do, so dust, crumbs or spills could cause the keys to become non responsive, so a dust cover was vital when your computer was not in use.
