Cresta Clown Handheld Electronic Game

(Cresta - 1982)
Cresta Clown Handheld Electronic Game
During the stampede to release electronic games during the early 1980's, Cresta released Clown to this interesting handheld LCD game (this same unit was also released under the brand names Halion and Ectron). This Qbert clone converted the arcade feel to a handheld gaming experience. Interestingly enough, Cresta also released an actual Qbert handheld as well with virtually identical game-play.
Though the screen is small and hard to see in bright light like most LCD screens, you do get a bit of the feel of the arcade style experience... so all in all, not a bad electronic handheld. Even on this monochrome LCD you feel need to help your clown perform his circus act.
As far as design, I'd say that this handheld system gets a passing grade. So if you want some retro fun, this Clown game will fit the bill nicely, and it is pocket sized to boot.
