Vectrex Hyper Chase Game Cartridge - Model VT-3201
(GCE - 1982)
Hyper Chase reminds me a lot of Pole Position. You must drive a formula one race car through a grand prix course, but watch out for the guardrail! Try to complete a lap in the least amount of time possible. Each crash adds to your time, so be daring and go for the win.
There are two modes of play, the first is racing the clock and the second is accumulating as many points as possible before you wreck five times.
You can play either one player or two player mode where each player takes a turn with a single joystick controller. Can you complete your lap in less time than your buddy?
This felt a little too much like a copy of Pole Position to me, but it was still a fun racing game... I'd say gameplay rates 7-10, controls 9-10, and overall 8-10. If you want to have some high speed fun on your Vectrex, this is a game you won't want to pass up.
