Vectrex Star Castle Game Cartridge - Model VT-3109

(GCE - 1983)

Vectrex Star Castle Game Cartridge
The Vectrex touts this version of Star Castle has all the thrills of the arcade version... and does it ever deliver! It is impossible to tell the difference between the Vectrex version and the original vector based arcade game. You must fly your ship around an alien mother ship, the Castle and blast away at it's many layers of shields in an attempt to get a clear shot to destroy the StarCastle.
But if you blast away an entire layer, the shield regenerates to full strength and be careful, just like in the arcade version, the mothership will shoot giant fireballs at you if it gets a clear shot. There are also energy bombs on the outer wall that get more agressive as time progresses.
You can play either one player or two player mode where each player takes a turn with a single joystick controller OR a second, optional control panel can also be used!
This is an awesome adaptation and the game play for this cartridge rates 10-10, controls 9-10, and overall 9-10. It is about the best game for the Vectrex system in my opinion. I could easily spend hours on end playing this game.
