Mattel Aquarius Multicart Evaluation Prototype Cartridge - Model 003

(Jay Snellen III - 2010)

Aquarius Multicart Evaluation Prototype Cartridge
This evaluation prototype of the first bankswitched multicart by Jay Snellen is the third generation prototype by him. This cartridge requires no external switching to select the games. Running firmware version 1.3... selecting a game from the onscreen menu switches the Aquarius to a different physical address space, so the entire cartridge library is on the multi-cart.
Not only does the cartridge have all of the cartridge based Aquarius software, but it sports additional goodies such as instructions for all of the games, Aquarius trivia and hidden Easter eggs.
The menu system is simple and flawless to use. Simply select the letter corresponding to a game and hit return to run the game. Or if you know the letter of the game you want, you can hold that letter down as you turn on your computer to go directly into the game. Another nice touch is that when you hit reset, it restarts the current game you are in, so that you do not have to keep going back to the main menu every time you want to restart your game.
I would say this cartridge rates better that his previous attempts at a perfect 10-10. So if you want a guaranteed solid gold experience on your Aquarius, this multicart fits the ticket.
