Mattel Aquarius Treasure of Tarmin Game Cartridge - Model 4023
(Mattel Electronics - 1983)
This is an adventure game based on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons system. You must navigate through a myriad of dungeons, battling monsters and avoiding traps. It has complex controls and the views are an odd mix of two and three dimensional.
In my opinion, they were trying to put too much of the AD&D system into a limited amount of memory to make it an enjoyable game. Though I should remember to keep things in context, for the era, it was a pretty advanced game and on par with other systems of the day such as 3d Monster Maze for the Timex Sinclair.
I would say game play rates 6-10, controls 5-10, and overall 5-10. So if you want a fun diversion on your Aquarius, if you don't mind a complex game, this one is for you.
