TurboGrafx Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III Game Cartridge
How to describe Parasol Stars... hmmm. Oh I know how about "hehe"? Wait, is that a description? It is definitely a fun and overly cute cartoonish platformer that will leave you smiling and snacking on fruit and cupcakes. Although this is billed as a sequel, this is the first of the Bubble Bobble series released for the TurboGrafx 16 system.
In it you play Bubby and Bobby and work your way through the different planets armed only with your parasol (umbrella) and your wits. The idea is to collect all of the star items you can to unlock two secret planets.
The two player co-op mode is great loads of fun for you and a friend. Nothing like smacking enemies with your umbrella and throwing droplets of water in their face!
I would say that the game play for this cartridge rates 8-10, controls 8-10, and overall 8-10. If you have a soft spot for outright cute platform gaming, then this will fill the niche quite nicely.
