Shockman Hu Card (Game Cartridge)

(NEC - 1992)

TurboGrafx Shockman Game Cartridge
Shockman is a scrolling platformer that is pretty run of the mill. I much prefer a good game of Commander Keen to this game. It seems to be in the MegaMan series of games but I cannot be sure. Even for 16 bit graphics the visuals are quite limited.
You play Arnold and you must rescue Doc and defeat the evil alien empire led by Ryo. The weapons are pretty unimaginative and the audio is just so-so. I was pretty disappointed in this game, which looked great in the cover art.
I would say that the game play for this cartridge rates 5-10, controls 6-10, and overall 5-10. If you were planning on getting this game, do it only for your collection and not to play and don't pay too much for it or you may feel it is money down the drain.
