NEC TurboBooster
(NEC - 1989)
The Turbo Booster adds composite A/V jacks to your Turbografx 16 and allows you to hook up to modern televisions with startling clarity and stereo sound. This is a must have for any serious video gamer. You will not belive the difference the TurboBooster makes in gameplay. The pictures are clearer and the sounds are crisper.
The TurboBooster connects to the bus expansion port in the back of the TurboGrafx 16... just remove the back cover and slide the Booster on in its place, it couldn't be simpler. NEC shaped the TurboBooster the same as the back cover to the console, so the system looks exactly the same with the Booster, keeping the aesthetic appeal of the console intact.
I was grateful to get a TurboBooster as televisions and other video components were starting to add RCA jacks for high-res alternatives to the standard RF inputs and, being the geek that I am, loved the picture quality difference.
